For Maritime Major Junior hockey fans, the post season frenzy is in full swing.

The Sea Dogs are rolling and appear to be a threat to repeat as Memorial Cup Champions. As for the Mooseheads, they've played two games against the Quebec Remparts and already their series has been defined by huge crowds and dramatic finishes.

"I think we proved we are right there with them and in some cases we are better in some areas," says Mooseheads general manager Cam Russell.

The Moose suffered two heart breaking losses to the Remparts in the opening games of their second round playoff series and as the herd heads home for game three, they are desperate for a win.

"We haven't played at the Metro Centre in two weeks and we're really excited to come back," says Moosehead forward Nathan MacKinnon.

Ticket sales are brisk, with back-to-back Metro Centre sellouts predicted.

"It's real and it moves and it's great to see," says one hockey fan.

For all the angst suffered by Halifax fans over the weekend, Saint John fans had lots to cheer about. Through two games, the Sea Dogs outscored Baie-Comeau by a combined score of 19-5.

"We have a very good team, but it's all about what you do in the future," says Sea Dog's head coach Gerard Gallant.

Which leads one to believe the best is yet to come in what has been a fascinating post season in the Quebec League.
