WESTPORT, N.S. - The RCMP have concluded their search for a scuba diver reported missing Wednesday in the Bay of Fundy.

The Mounties in Nova Scotia say it appears 48-year-old Lawrence Collins of Ottawa was swept away by the bay's strong tides.

Collins was diving for sea urchins with two colleagues near the tip of Digby Neck when one of his co-workers noticed he was being pulled away.

Police say the 48-year-old man was diving in the Grand Passage area near Westport.

The RCMP, coast guard and the Canadian military were called in to search for Collins.

The Mounties say they have determined there was no criminal wrongdoing.

However, the provincial Labour Department is investigating because Collins was working at the time he disappeared.
