Police in Amherst, Nova Scotia confirm remains found in a wooded area last week belong to Katherine Cora McNeil, who was reported missing over a year ago.
The 58-year-old was last seen on October 4, 2010 as she was leaving Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan, about a kilometre from where her remains were found last Wednesday morning.
Police say they also found several pieces of identification for Katherine Cora McNeil at the scene.
They have not yet determined how she died and are still investigating.
